I have an offshore 24 and the gunwale water system has seem to have seem better days. It indefinitely needs to get replaced with something by next season but the problem is that if I took it out there would be a big hole where it was. Anyone have any suggestions?

got any pictures? i am assuming that you have a fresh water system? cut a piece of starboard or marine ply(coat with epoxy) and fasten where the water outlet/faucet is fastened.

Offshore,
I thought you were talking about the freshwater cockpit shower. Sorry for the mixup.

Check out this link for other faucets: http://www.scandvik.com/images/Catalogs ... aucets.pdf

I didn't see anything that was exactly like the faucet you have now but there were several that looked like they would work for you. I'm assuming you would like to make it functional again and not just remove it from the gunwale.

If you are trying to remove it now and just fill in temporarily, then just fasten a piece of starboard of marine ply using the same holes as the faucet assembly. If you want to remove it all together, then you are going to have to get into some fiberglass and gelcoat. If you want to replace with factory parts, contact Grady Customer Service. Otherwise you could look for something more updated that fits in that space

you can buy a replacement for that. Call crockers marine in north carolina, they sell them. Around 60 bucks i think. Mine got a hole in the same exact spot.

water pump

your water pump should be located under the farword deck floor
