Both are several years old in like new condition. The 205 has 200 hours on it and the Parker pilothouse even less. The 205 has every option offered and the better 200 hp Yami 4-stroke. The Parker has the Yami 150 4-stroke and is not optioned out. Both have basic electronics. The Parker has a trailer and the 205 does not. I can buy the Parker for 4K more than the GW. I am torn. I had a 205 and it was a terrific boat. The appeal of the Parker is almost year-around use although the 205 does have full canvas on it. Anyone had both boats or otherwise able to offer advice. I change my mind every other day! Thanks.
GW 205 or Parker 2120 Pilothouse?

Although I am not a fan of the pilothouse setup, I would choose the Parker over the GW. It's a better built boat.
IMHO you are comparing apples to oranges. A walk-thru and pilot house are very different as you know so I think the big question is how do you plan to use it.
With the mild winters we have here in Va the full canvas would be plenty of protection for striper fishing. The 200 hp on the GW is a plus. I'm told the pilothouse design can be pretty hot in the summer. If the GW is loaded out as you say it definately would be the more comfortable boat

Grady chose to pass on the pilot house business, unfortunately, would have done a lot better than the cat market they attempted in the 90's.

Parker has essentially no competition up here. A few more Steigers lately, that's it.
Grady could have improved on it by offering a better cabin by keeping bridge where it is now or just push it back a bit further to expand house.
Offer second station steering.
Can't do much in Parker cabin but use head. Others offer on their walkarounds - an alaska package, both open and closed back versions.
Big need up north for glass bridge pilot styles. Not for southern climates, Grady's one boat no options, fits all policy nixes pilots. Too bad.

Both great boats, so I don't think you can go too wrong either way. Sea trial them if you can. I'd be concerned the Parker was a little bit under powered. Most of the 2120's around here have 200's on them.
