Hi, I am looking to replace my oversized bimini top with a hardtop as it does not allow me good access to the bow area. I cannot "walkaround" without cussing & feeling like I'm going over. I live on northeastern Mass & would like imput on where I can get a good basic top built & price range. Can't find any used online. Any assistance would be appreciated. It is a 1985 Seafarer 227. Thanks.

I live on the North Shore of Mass and drove up to Redman Marine Fabricators in ME. They came highly recommended and with good reason, outstanding work. Better than factory. Not the cheapest, but any hard top is going to be expensive. When you start to get quotes you'll find that by spending a little more you can get a great top as opposed to an OK one. I believe the base price was about $4500 with 4 rocket launchers. All in was $6000 but that was me getting a stereo, speakers, electronics box, relocating VHF. I should have pics in my post history.

When I did my GW factory tour I asked about a hard top for my Freedom 225 and they did tell me I was better off getting someone local to build one. But so far we like our canvas option. I don't troll so I don't need rocket launchers except maybe for rod storage. But $4-6k........ouch
