Helm overhead mesh storage replacement - Canyon 376

Hi GW gang, now to the forum here. We recently got a new to us Canyon 376 and absolutely love the boat. In the process of doing a few Spring cleaning projects and repairs before our season kicks off.

Has anyone replaced the overhead mesh storage that is built into the hard top? Our zippers are frozen and the mesh is tearing and been abused by mildew and such. Any tips or experiences with ordering and replacing with a new mesh section? Thanks for any input. Looking forward to being a part of this forum.

I'd take it down and go to a local marine canvas shop in your area. It is likely made of Phifertex. They can either sew a new zipper in or make a new one quite easily,

Contact A&J Canvas in Vanceboro NC, they did the original ones for Grady. I took mine down and sent to them and they sent me a new one. My '04 had the old style straight zipper in the middle of it and they made me the new style with the smile in it, much more user friendly. A&J are good people too. Talk with Lee, she'll take care of you.

Its basically mesh, grommets, paracord and zipper. Any canvas shop including AJ can do it very easy.
