I'm looking to replace the helm seat slider on my 96 Gulfstream. Anyone know the make and model number of one that will fit?

They are universal. I highly recommend the Garalick over the Todd. Garalick has better quality, fit and finish. They are more expensive but you get what you pay for.

My Pompanette slider would not work on my new Wise seats. The hole pattern and interference would not even accomodate modification of the Pompanette plate to work. Just an FYI. jh

I've looked at a few universal sliders, Garalick included, at West Marine and took measurements and they appear not to fit. The underside of the seat is indented whereby the slider must be of the same dimentions as it fits flush into the indented area. It must fit flush into the indented slot because the seat's armrests mount directly against the underside of both the slider and the seat.

I had the same problem w/ my seafarer. I got some starboard and
1/4"-20 toggles and fabricated my own mounting plate.

There may have been more than one style offered. I don't own that model so I can't comment.

Since my problem is with the locking mechanism, I don't need complete slider assembly. I was able to buy just the slider insert that includes the locking mechanism from GW dealer for only $32. It's the exact fitting part, but does not include the nylon bushings (gibs), but they are available at Crockers Marine for $13 each.
