What do you do during the holiday season with your GW? Living in FL, we like to cruise around the bays / bayous / gulf front with friends, check out the holiday decorations and lights, sometimes join in the boat parades. And sometimes even do a bit of fishing....

What are you doing this month in your GW to celebrate the season and ring in the new year?

We went up the ICW last Christmas afternoon...temps were in the 70s. I think we were the only people out. Also went out Thanksgiving afternoon last month.

The 180 gets hooked to the back of the Tahoe on Christmas eve and we head south....will be used every day between Christmas and New Years in FL, unless the wind is blowing too hard.

I may put on a GW hat while watching the snow fly outside during X-mas, longing for the days to go bye faster.....c'mon April!!!

Strikezone,

We head the opposite way. We cruise down the ICW from Georgetown to Charleston. Have lunch at SNOB and head back.

I am looking forward to a nice cruse on saturday tomorrow in the snow maybe even put on some Christmas lights.

Parthery, what part of FL do you head to? I used to have a 180 Sportsman, man do I regret selling it....

Best small boat I have ever had, got a deal I could not refuse to sell but I wish I had. Think I may find another 13' whaler one day, just something to play in, lots of fun and 1/4 the cost of my 180 but still not the same.

When I hear "snow" and heading south, I automatically go into shiver mode.... for my taste, and this time of year definitely is trying for me, any water temp less than 75 degrees is way too cold...
