I was noticing in the response to another post about hooking up a live well how clean that area of the boat is. I bought my boat in 2009 and other than removing debris , I have not washed the compartment under each seat with water. It has always been dry for us.

So, is there a good way to wash that area where my wiring harnesses all come together? I was thinking spraying simple green and letting it set a while then rinsing? Even freshwater can cause corrosion . Amy tips or ideas?

If your washing a bilge area where there is wiring routed those wires are shielded against moisture. Any mild detergent should do the job. Simple Green is a good choice and I use it too. I recently scrubbed out my bilge with a mix or water and Pine-Sol with good results.
The areas of concern for wiring staying dry would be immediately around the breaker panel, dash and around electronics.
