Hey all - I am seriously looking to upgrade from my 232 Gulfstream and have decided on the Marlin 300 and have a pre-purchase question. One prospective boat had a survey done by the current owner in 2014 - the surveyor noted that there was evidence of flexing on the hull but nothing structural. Along with that there was one hairline crack by the rear (outer) shower hose about an inch long. Is this something common with a fibreglass boat? I haven't seen this on any previous survey's i've had done but could it just be that it wasn't noteworthy? Current owner has been very helpful and is experienced - he said he couldn't find any evidence of "flexing" when he reviewed the boat himself. Thanks!

Pictures would be helpful. I'd pay for my own hull and engine survey.
Gel-coat can crack, especially if its applied a little too thick on inside/outside radius with no cracking in the layup. I'd want a pro to run a moisture meter through a 30 Grady before buying it though. As well and an engine survey.
