Do yourself a favor and avoid them. Donate the $25 to the Home for Wayward Women instead. The design is really weak, you're trusting your boat to a really flimsy external snap ring of light guage steel.

Agree. Then again, just about everything they sell is a one time use item or disposable.

I will wholeheartedly agree with this. I had one fail with the snap ring popping out and almost take out my leg when the tongue fell on the ground. Thankfully it just caught my jeans and tore them from the thigh down.....

never shop there unless i need a one time short time use item.
3rd world low end junk if you ask me.
emptor cavete.........

A friend of mine lost the tip of his finger when the metal pin failed and broke. It was a few months old at the time.

I do buy some things from there, but never if it's something that can affect my safety.

Totally agree with this...

my garage is filled with harbor freight items, but only simple use items that have above 4.5 stars for reviews. Two things I can think of off the top of my head that are in fact decent harbor freight purchases are their one style angle grinder, and the one sawzall. I have gotten quite a bit of use out of both of those items...

I have a buffer that's been good to me from HF. A bunch of odds-n-ends hand tools, too. But anything like hydraulic jacks, engine stands, jack stands, etc - those I get from a more "tried and true" source.
