Santa was good to me this year and now the fun begins. I am looking for any tips, comments, or pictures, on mounting a 112 volt, 72 inch Ulterra trolling motor on the bow of my 2016 209 Fisherman.
Areas of interest include:
- Bow mounting location, position, and angle
- Running the wiring up to the bow
- Battery location (3)

Thanks in advance.

I have the same boat and will be following along. Please take and post some pics of your install! What year is your 209?

btw - I was quoted $6500 for JUST the labor to install one at my Grady dealer here in Edmonds, WA!

Any luck with the install? I have a 1999 Escape 209 which I want to put a trolling motor on. I was thinking of storing the batteries in the console (plenty of room) and running the wiring to the bow (hopefully). Main questions are where to install. I saw a post on another thread where the guy built bracket off his bow pulpit. I was thinking port side bow. Cut the railing and put hinges in so I could lift it up when deploying the motor. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I'm not sure if I like the bow pulpit idea. bow pulpit trolling motor 1.jpegbow pulpit trolling motor 2.jpeg
