Instrument panel actuator

I have a 2009 33 Express and my instrument panel opens intermittently.Sometimes I can push the switch on and off for 15 minutes before it activates.I have changed the switch and checked the wiring.I believe it could be a problem with the actuator.Does anybody else have the same issue.

Common problem with older actuators. Try to never run it to the stops. I lube mine with silicone spray. Access it from behind the cabin electrical panel, starboard side. I seem to remember there is a relay involved at the base of the actuator.
