Hey Fella's havent been around much, its almost to much for me to come on here in the winter and pine over the days when I was out on the water. Anyhow first year with the grady was great, loved every min of it. I just went on my spring trip to West Marine, among other things, I got some new vhf antennas (had a run in with the covered slip, whoops), new chart plotter, and a few other odds and ends. I also took my bolsters to get re-covered, cant wait to see how they look. Last night I finished flush mounting my electronics and there going in this weekend. Texas is ready to be fished and boated!! I am sitting at my desk wishing I was washing and waxing her now. I also just upgraded to a new Marina on sunday, and scored a really nice slip this year right near where there is lots of live music and easy access. I can hear the tunes now. My thoughts go out to you guys in the northeast and colder areas, I spend the first 26 yrs of my life in Maine and Nova Scotia so i know its gonna be a while, hang in there!! Im in full fever here.

The_Chain,
I hear you brother. I am chomping at the bit for spring to be here! I went to West Marine myself last week for some spring boat goodies like collinites wax. Nothing too sexy like new electronics. We got some other goodies too. Unlike you I grew up in Fla and spent 38 years there and moved to the mountains of NC in 2006. It is great living here, but I miss the water and Looooong boating season, as it never really ends (lol). Between now and Sunday we the forecast says snow for the Smoky Mountains. Soon spring will be here and we will be on the water. I like your idea of hanging out at the slip listening to music on a Friday night. It is a nice way to enjoy the boat without burning gas for sure. I am hoping to get a slip this summer on Fontana Lake here in the mountains. I highly doubt they will have dockside music though. Sounds great what you have going on down there in Texas! Lets just hope fuel costs dont sky rocket and really put a buzz kill on boating this summer.
