Curious if anyone knows the area north east of Williamsboro near the lake. Looking to try a new place to vacation to or buy a lake house at some point to get away from NE when I retire.
It appears to be a fairly large lake with good fishing. Does the lake depth change much? Is a dock on the lake problematic? How is it in the winter as well as summer months? It appears to be a summer vacation spot.

Yeah nice variety of fish. I don't know that specific lake, but I do travel to NC once a year and have good friends out there. Pretty mild climate year round from what they say.
I get ya wanting to migrate out of the winter cold.

The best way to explore your option is just what your doing, asking questions to gather information, in combination with spending physical time at the location to get your own "gut check".

No doubt you have the full support of Great Grady members that wish you well transitioning toward your retirement!

Yeah, I'm gonna hit you up for a beer when I visit :p

Thanks. Expanded the search as the admiral doesn't think it is warm enough. Looking at GA and FL now....
