Just purchased a 1998 chase 263 . As we are moving the live well fills with water...

Not sure why it is filling no switches were touched

I think that’s normal . Is there a seacock you can close ?

If the seacock is open it will fill up, that's how they work , close the seacock if you don't want water in the tank.

Ok, we previously had an Edgewater, where the livewell worked differently. This livewell is right behind the helm connected, underneath the helm, we didn't see any seacock there, I am guessing we need to look at that.

Thank you for your help!

The seacock should be near the pump which is probably aft in the bilge. It is possible that if you have a raw water washdown option, that shares a seacock with the livewell
