So, shippers are picking up the boat Tuesday...in Florida. They are going to Jacksonville for 2 nights, then bringing it to my house. They are doing this because they have a load to bring back from Houston after me.

Now, here is the deal... they need their flat bed gooseneck trailer. So, they are going to load my boat ON the trailer, then on their trailer.

In florida, we have a marina that, for $200, will pick the boat up and load it onto their trailer. Done.

I have an old guy that owns a trailer shop that says he can lift up to 10,000 lbs off of their trailer, so should be fine to get it off there for them to drive out from under it...but.. I would like to have a backup plan.

What other sort of companies you think I could look for that might be able to handle that sort of job? I planned to call the rental place down the road. They rent a 10k lb forklift...with a boom, but... not sure if that will do it... should.. but, never done this and there are no boat dealerships with line 30-50 miles... go figure.

So, looking for ideas.

A commercial wrecker service. Many wreckers for big trucks have a telescopic boom like a crane. They have spreaders, straps and will come to you. Get a quote. They have minimums just to leave the yard.
