I'm looking at potentially purchasing a boat with a 2008 F250 that has 560 hours on it. Other than the corrosion issues I've read about....
1. What should I be looking for in the maintenance history of the motor?
2. What can be done as part of a high level physical inspection without taking the unit apart?
3. What type of service work is due at the next service interval?
4. How many hours of reliable use can this motor provide with reasonable maintenance (ie. Is it common to see F250's out there with well over 1,000 hours on them)?
5. What is the approximate value of this motor if there are no issues with it and has a good maintenance history? (Might consider selling it and repowering to be under warranty).
Thanks Todd!
