I'm just getting started making new cushions for my 2004 Fisherman 222. I figured I'd post a picture of my 18 yr old cushions with the new Seaquest Sea White vinyl that I got yesterday. Lighting isn't great but looks like a perfect match.

Some advice. Get a seam ripper and take apart the cushion and then cut the new vinyl to match. Get a walking foot for your sewing machine - Amazon has them. Use sail thread and monel staples. You'll get her done.

Thanks for the tips. I just started sewing this past Fall when I saw what the cost was for a new T Top. I found a marine canvas course here in MA and took it. I figured for the same money, as the new top, I could learn. I just finished my T top and the enclosure for my center console and am moving on to the cushions. I read a lot of threads about color matching the vinyl but hadn't seen pictures showing old and new. I'll post some more pictures when I make some progress.

I bought a Sailrite LSZ-1. I picked up a decent wood kitchen table for $35 and put a cut out to mount the machine so I have a nice work surface.

Nice. I'm a little south of you in MA. Keep the boat in Green Harbor MA.

I have a cottage in Falmouth, by Waquoit Bay, and am lucky enough to have a sister at the end of my street with a dock so that's where I keep mine.

Hi, In Hingham and I have a 2002 Fisherman and would like to add bow cushions and replace the seat in front of the console. Do you have a template or recommend any local businesses?

I followed same logic. New enclosure was more than getting setup to sew so I bought a Sailrite LSZ-1. Paid for itself on my first project.

You can use a good home machine with a walking foot attachment.

I have a Bernina - it’s vintage but pretty quality machine. Got it for $100 on CL and has worked on a variety of projects so far.

I made new cushions for the coaming pads front seat and backrest and leaning post and backrest. I ended up just making templates and making new cushions. I tried taking apart one of the old coaming pads and it was too dry and cracked to be useful. I also made a new t top and surround. I’m pretty happy with the results.
