Looking at a 1996 grady catalog I see the following options for a 268.

-Head w/ deck pumpout
-Head portable
-Head portable w/ macerator
-Marine head w/ elec flush
-Marine head w/ holding tank and pump out

I thought you either had a porti potty or a marine head?
Can you have a marine head without a holding tank??

Thanks
Mark

That's what the portable is with macerator, it has built in waste and flush water tanks, they sell them at West. the macerator pumps it overboard directly

It's not realy portable since there is a 1 1/2 in. waste suction line and vent line attached to it, but it is a portable self contained design.

The upper section, FW tank, gets removed so you can refill it with FW.

Marine heads are porcelain, have hand or electric pump. Uses SW for flush, and pumps into seperate holding tank.

The portable pottis are poly, not porcelain.

You can have the same protable I first mentioned and entirely self contained, so you can take it with you. On the bigger boats, i think they included the macerator to make it mimic the more expensive marine heads.
