We bought a ‘96 GW Marlin and the head doesn’t always flush. I ordered one but it wouldn’t fit. Does anyone know a model that would work. I think I want an entire unit! Other than both engines failing, this is last broken thing I want to deal with offshore. Thanks.

Connie, we'll need more information. There are a crapload (see what I did there!) of "types" of heads. Exact description of what you have, including holding tank style and/or macerator will help. Pics would be beneficial, too. Describing, in better detail, what you mean by "doesn't flush" and "what" you ordered will also help.

Hello Dennis, I don’t have a crapload of info! The head is the original on the ‘96 Marlin & I think all its stinking parts are too. Sometimes it flushes if the pump button between head & steps is pushed. It is shrink wrapped until April or May as we live in Maine so I can’t take photos. Sorry. Maybe this is another summer season thing up here. Thanks for replying & Merry New Year!

Wait till the spring and then get more info on what the fixture is or isn't doing correctly. There are parts in most toilets that need regular maintenance and or replacement but the bowl itself is generally not one of them unless cracked.
Is your toilet plastic or porcelain ( can last forever almost)?
What type of system is it; manual pump, electric pump, vacuflush etc.
My first guess at manufacturer would be Jabsco. Take a look at their website and see what looks like your system.

Happy New Year to you, as well, Connie! Where 'bouts in Maine in are you? I have property in Cushing and Friendship.

About the best I can say as this point is that it sounds like an electrical problem - either button, pump or the wiring/connections in between.

FYI, if you're near the boat, you can put a door in the shrink wrap to get in and out if you wanted to.
