Hi, all.
Last week we had some really warm weather and I spent some time on my boat. I found a lot of moisture between the cabin cushions and the fiberlass it lays on but found nothing else wet. Is it possible that this is condensation? The only other possibility is the anchor/rope locker tho' I found nothing damp or wet in there.

I keep my boat on the lift over the winter so it was easy to drop it in the water and go for a ride. Was impressed with how readily the old Johnson cranked up. Wife and I rode all the way out to the Bay and back. Man, it was sweet! Of course, a northwest wind kicked up while we were gone and made low tide too low to get on our lift. Tied the boat up at our neighbor's pier.

I doubt it's condensation, sounds more like a leak that came down along the edge and went under the cushions.
Once it gets there, it doesn't dry.
I have a similar leak at the foot of the hardtop frame, will recaulk this season.
Perhaps a window was left open, the top would dry but not the bottom.

Take the cushions off and sit them on edge on the floor or store elsewhere, come back one day after it rains heavily, check for leaks.

Doubt it is condensation either, being under cushions is hard to occur there an nowhere else, but I've sene stranger things. I always keep a condesation absorber onboard when the boats laid up and try to keep something open in the cabin to allow air circulation, that way you do not get condensation or mold in the cabin. I just took my cover off this week and has 0 mold and very little water in the absorber since the boat had plenty of circulation all winter.

Thanks for the replies, guys. The moisture was under both side cushions which run from the rope locker back to the bulkhead. No moisture any where else that I could find and no evidence of water or stains on anything else. I was shocked at how messy I left the cabin the last time we went out but there was a lot I could look at. Since my lift keeps the bow a lot higher than the stern, the source of the moisture has to be the rope locker.

We had a day of rain a couple of days ago and I checked the boat a couple of times to see if I could find any leaks. Not a drop. Of course, this rain was pretty gentle - no strong winds or heavy downpours. I've got rags spread around the cabin to help me track the leak if one exists.
