Just bought my first boat! Its a 1996 192 tournament with a 2004 150txrc (carb'd model).

Only problem other than needing a good cleaning is that the multifunction gauges are very dim. I am looking for a new set and am unsure of what gauges will work with my engine.

I have found part # 6y5-8350T-03-00 as my tach -- but wondered if other part numbers would work as well.

Also, does this engine have electric choke? I have to pull out the knob on the engine at this point since the previous owner didnt have the choke hooked to the switch. I wanted to make sure it had electric choke before I bought a push to choke switch and tried to wire it up!

Thanks for the help!

Check your manual, on the older ones if you push in on the off/on/start switch it'll energise the choke. If it's turned to on or start and push in, you should hear the ckoke.

The choke is not wired to the switch on this boat. I understand how it typically works, just checking to see if my engine (not key switch) has it.

Any ideas on the gauges??

Thanks!!

To check the engine, pop the cowl and look for the linkage across the choke butterflys going to a black cylinder.
