Need a little help. If I leave electronics on while drifting after an hour or so when I start up engines screen goes black and reboots itself. Is this normal. RD 30 or none of other electronics are affected.

Thanks

Reboots when you start your engine are usually the result of the temporary drop in voltage as your starter draws high amounts of current from the battery. Some units are more sensitive to this than others. A weak battery can also cause this.

The best solution is to run all of your house electronics off a battery that is isolated from your starting battery.

Although I am not familiar with your electronics, but some brands like Garmin have an option to turn off certain alarms. On my Garmin, turning off the low voltage alarm stopped the unit from resetting when the engine was started. I believe I have same alarm disabled in my Lowrance too
