Looking to buy an 1983 240 tournament. Hull is in real good shape. Has 2000 Yamaha 200hp hpdi with only 10 hours. The engine wasn't used much due to short distance to fishing destination. It also wasn't used in the last 2 years, but it was always winterized and dewinterized. Owner wants $9500 (no trailer). Does anyone have a problem with the lack of use of the engine? What about the price? Does anyone not like the 2000 Yamaha hpdi in general? Thanks for your help!

It's a great engine, that alone would sell for around $4500, I can't put a value on the hull. How is the fuel system? thru-hulls? hoses?

I think the 10 hours of use on a 2000 engine is wrong or at least hard for me to believe. As always have the engine checked by mechanic before purchasing

Does the 2000 HPDI have the chip in it? If it does, Yamaha will be able to tell you history every minute that engine ran.
Can't give an honest opinion of the hull. Put it this way, it's worth whatever you're willing to pay for it. GET IT SURVEYED.

That 2000 Yamaha is probably a very good engine, however be very cautious with an engine that hasn’t been used in two years. These engines run better when they’re used, not sitting idle. Whatever was left in that gas tank probably should be removed before being mixed with E10 fuel.
