Just rec'd my new replacement gas tank for my 85 Seafarer 227. Did a lot of internet research & found a tank for $670...& that includes shipping from Florida to Massachusetts. This is almost 1/2 the price of most bids I got. I used Aftermarket Marine (www.amarket.com). They got it much cheaper than the company who built it quoted me. 93 gallon classic GW belly tank. My tank was original (26 y.o.) & pulled it to check it out. It had deep pits under the rubber straps. I was quoted around here $1000- $1400 to have welding shops build one. Just wanted to share this as many GW's last a long time & tanks need replacing for safety & piece of mind. Ready for season 2!!

:huh That's a great price. Hope there's not a reason it was half price, including shipping ...

Tank was 1/8 aluminum built by RDS, one of the top tank builders. Came with all fittings, including sender. Fully CG compliant. 2 baffles. Will fully inspect it when putting it in this spring, but don't anticipate any problems. 8)

I priced RDS and they were competitive on price, until I found another OEM that I could pick up from. But that was before the current recession. You should be golden ...

RDS does nice work...I've used them before. You should have no issues.
