Only 4 pound Fluke in New York

NY DEC released the new regs today, and Long Islanders will now need to catch 4 pound flukes or throw them back. 19-1/2 inch is the minumum size, but on the other hand they increased the season to year round. Yea- I often go fluke fishing in January.

yea..leave it to the govt to get things right..going to be a lot of undersized fish thrown back and a lot of them wont survive.. i've come to the conclusion they really have no clue what they are doing..

OR BETTER YET..THEY KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE DOING ...DRIVING THE REC FISHERMAN RIGHT OUT OF THE OVERALL PICTURE..EASIER FOR THEM TO CONTROL A SMALL GROUP OF COMM FISHERMAN THAN THOUSANDS OF REC'S...
