When the two motors are used as a twin CCR, the position is set in middle by spec for both, meaning they do nothing in terms of fine trim, I would say.
In single motor RH or CCR motor, trial and error is needed to find sweet spot. for tab
So how does yamaha know how one intends to use motors when you buy one or two, and don't think no one is running a single CCR motor.
I had some zinc fretting on both original tabs, so the tabs are doing their protective feature, could have gone another year maybe two, but since doing water pumps require taking them off, I just put back new ones back on.
If there is ever another change, going to saw off the tab portion, on two standard RH motor tabs, readily availabe from canada metals or the martyr (sp?) label. Save 10 bucks or so.
