hello, i have a 1990 overnighter w/ the the orig johnson 225 w/ factory hydraulic steering.previous 2 seasons steering worked perfect. steering has been a little stiff this season but operational. on the way back in today steering was extremely stiff,with tons of play in middle and very choppy. limped into slip and turned wheel after i tied up and heard a pop and wheel freed up with no steering at all. does anyone have experience with this type of system? there is the factory helm unit without a fill behind the wheel .tried to top off earlier this yr and cound not find a fill. found a capped tube coming off helm unit that ends on s/b side of helm down low. prob repowering this winter and looking to keep her out of the shop till then and salvage rest of season. any advice is greatly appreciated
