What do you folks think would be a reasonable price to expect for a 1997 seafarer on a double axle trailer, no motor. the boat is in impeccable condition. cushions are in great shape , no nicks, scrapes, ect. new control cables rigged for yamaha. full enclosure like new. typical electronics and stereo. thanks

$14,000ish..

Location of the boat will have an effect on the price as well..

Do you folks think there is a market out there for someone who wants to power the boat themselves, or should i have a new power head installed on the engine? any thoughts? steve

I would put a new power head on and sell the boat with an engine with a new power head. I bet you would sell it faster and for more money in the long run.

Depends on how much the installed replacement powerhead would cost. Keep in mind that you are repairing an 11yr old engine (assuming the motor is same year as boat..).

If you would get every penny back that you would be putting in and the improvement to the motor can expedite a sale...go for it. Do the math before hand.
