I was going to remove the prop from a 2006 Yamaha F225. I say "was going to", because I got stumped. There is something that has been put in place of the standard castellated nut and cotter pin. I am guessing that it is some form of an anti-theft device. I can spin it with my fingers and it feels like it is riding on an o-ring or some kind of rubber. I tried turning and pulling out on it. I tried grabbing it with pliers and pulling. Probably exerting a hundred pounds or so. Before I get too Western with it I thought I would run it by you guys to see if anyone has seen this thing and could clue me into the removal trick.

Wow. That’s a great device. Definitely need to get that. Props are the first thing to go out here.
