Hi,

I have a 2009 Journey 258 with twin 150 Yamaha, and Raymarine E800 display. I'm thinking of adding an autopilot to use for salmon trolling at around 2 knots. Looking at Raymarine Evolution since it would be compatible with my existing electronics. Considering Evolution Autopilot with type 1 hydraulic drive and ACU 150 computer.

Just wondering if anyone has used this setup and can comment on whether it was adequate for salmon trolling. Also, what size drive/computer is recommended.

Any advice on this would be much appreciated !

thanks,
Tim

Can you idle that slow with a single 150 running?

no problem with a single engine for salmon trolling, we do it all the time.
