I have a 265 Express and I am having a new enclosure made. The guy making it wants to remove the 3" aluminum joiners on the top of the windshield that join the front windshield with the side windshield. This joiner is held on by 4 screws and it sticks up 1/8". He wants to install a vinyl channel on top of the windshield for the enclosure to slide into. Any thoughts?

Just say no! Looks like 2 more on the center section in Skunboat's pic. Thats a lot of support taken out, Vinyl won't give the rigidity that the aluminum channel does.

Skunkboat, I know it's in a thread somewhere, but what is your clear enclosure material?

front three pieces are rigid polycarbonate. The brand of polycarbonate is Anina. Work done by Gioia Sails. They have places in NJ and FL
