A few members have asked about replacing screens. You can't buy them from GW or from the manufacturer, Lewmar. You buy them from the local hardware store and do it yourself. Probably takes less time than chasing around for the manufacturers part if they had one.

It's not a hard job - go inside the cabin, flip open the window, and carefully remove the rubber gasket. Pull the old screen inwards. If you didn't destroy it while removing it, you will have a pretty good pattern to use to cut out the new screen.

I bought black fiberglass screen, it looks miles better than the silver/white mesh that was already in the window. DON'T USE 5200. Since this window is not underwater all the time unless your mother-in-law drives the boat, silicone is fine to set the screen in the window. The screen is light enough in weight that it will not pull down if you use a layer of silicone to hold it in place all the way around the window.

Next, put the gasket back. I suggest tacking the gasket to the window using Super Glue in 2 SMALL (emphasis added) spots on the upper side of the window. Once the Super Glue is set lift up the gasket, but do not remove it, and run a small bead of silicone around the inside of the window. Push the gasket into place, then close and latch the window. In 24 hours the silicone will be cured, and voila, nice job with black windows. The black windows really accentuate the bimini top, rub rail, and stripe down the side. Email me back if you need to.
