Have been seeing a better number of boats selling at shows lately and a lot more people in attendance at shows. My company saw record attendance at our booth in Miami and sales were at or above what we hoped for with a few pending sales leaving the show which might still go through. At the Atlantic city boat show a few brokers I know saw decent sale's, better then in the last 6 months and better then many expected. Marine Max sold 38 or 42 boats...I've heard both numbers, but either way sales are impressive, they had 3 boat lines present at that show. Buyers may not be buying as big as they would, but it seems people are more comfortable right now with spending some money, not sure if it is a brief thing or will last. Also attendance at shows seems to be better then most shows are expecting and many vendors at their booths are doing very well with electronics and other gadgets. For those not buying that would like to, they are buying accessories and getting their boat how they like it instead. Hopefully this isnt just a flurry and momentary thing, but it might be and summer sales might be slow, we will see. I agree 100% it is a buyers market, even with build costs going up, builders need to move products to stay open and will be willing to make less and sell for less to keep their companies open and products in the marketplace.
