We just purchased a 2002 282 Sailfish. We traded in our 1990 Overnighter 20, so we're not new to the Grady crew but are definitely extremely happy with the upgrade.

1) Need some advice for replacing our swim ladder. The ladder that is on there now is the fixed ladder that is stored on the transom when not in use. I think this is a terrible design and would much rather have a folding ladder that a swimmer could deploy from the water. I also want to use that transom space for more rod holders. I was looking at a newer Sailfish today that had a windline ladder (cant remember if it was folding or telescoping) and would like to have something like it but it also had a recessed area in the fiberglass for the ladder to sit. Is there an aftermarket folding ladder that would lay as flat as possible on top of the transom without having to cutout an area of the fiberglass? Anybody have any experience replacing these?

2) The boat did not come with a helm enclosure/side curtains/whatever you want to call it. If you still don't know what i'm talking about, I am looking for the plastic that connects on the top to the hardtop and on the bottom to the windshield/window trail. Is Grady White the best place to buy one of these/do they even still sell them? Any advice here would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I would call A&J Canvas in Vanceboro NC (252-244-1509). The do all the canvas work for Grady. If your boat had enclosures once, they probably still have a template for your boat. Either way, they probably can offer the best price.
