I have a 247 advance and the caulking or sealant on the top sides of the transom is cracking, should I pull out the old sealant and replace it with a clear silicone II WINDOW AND DOOR from home depot or what's best?

My dealer recommended 3M 400UV also, has stood up well since being used. I've used Boat Life LIFE SEAL and it works as well, but I think the 3M is better for your application.

4000 UV is nice stuff, don't use silicone.

Boatlife Lifeseal or Lifecaulk works. If no plastics or ABS involved - use Lifecaulk, but does take longer to cure than Lifeseal if you are in a hurry to launch.
