Service manual for Johnson O/B?

Anyone know where to get a factory service manual for a 1998 Johnson outboard? I want the one from OMC(now Bombadier) and would like to order it online. My dealer told me he could only order a bunch all together and couldn't get me one manual???? so that leaves the internet.

There is a publisher located in Minn. that should have what you are lookingfor. I have their address on my computer in my office downtown. When I am in the office on Wed., I'll pull it and post it. You will need to provide the model #.

You might try MarineEngine.com. It looks like they run about $70.00.

You can usally find shop manuals on E-bay as well. Here is one for $19

The publisher is named Ken Cook Company. They carry factory manuals. They may also be listed as outboardbooks.com. I found them after a google search.

Do you find that manual to be of any use? I have a printed one and it is horrific. Not sure if they are the same content or not, but I wouldn't rely on anything in it.

it was a little helpfull, pics were very grainy but I would offer it free as I would not want anyone to pay that guy on ebay 10$ fot it.

OMC Book

Gradyrod, the dealer I use gets his from what another member said, Ken Cook, P/n 507951 for about $90. Manual gives alot more detail than a Seloc which I have. Plan on buying one myself.
