Hello Brothers, I just switched over to progressive insurance for my boat and they have sign and glide don't know if I should still get Boat US. Has anyone use sign and glide in New Jersey? Boat US is based out of my Marina

I don't live in Jersey, but have used it once for a 1.5 mile tow. No issues. I have not ever heard of a complaint on this forum or THT.
I would think progressive has agreements with the big towing companies.

a Boat US membership is separate from the insurance. you can still get the membership for towing and WM & other discounts.

Yes I'm aware, but thinking if they are going to call Boat US anyway don't need it. I always had Boat US included with GEICO but they raised me every year till I had enough.

I am in NJ out of Waretown, have sign/glide, needed to use it once inside Barnegat Bay. Worked fine, they were very attentive on the phone and followed up after, actually a very personalized service. The representative asked me a few questions that demonstrated they actually knew something about boating and ensured that I was safe. They hooked me up with BoatUS for the actual service. The only issue I see is you can’t contact them directly via VHF. So if off the beach out of cell range there is an extra step involved - but the instructions are clear. If you call a service directly (BoatUS, SeaTow, etc) they will not cover the full bill, you must go through sign/glide.

Thanks for the info brother, stay safe

I've got Progressive's towing option on my insurance policy with as well, though I'm not sure if it's the sign and glide or not... I thought it was a Sea Tow membership, but I could be mistaken. I can't give any opinions on the matter as I've thankfully never had to use it yet, knock on wood.
