I talked to Bobby for about 15 minutes this morning. The plan had been for him and his wife to fly to Orlando on Friday to attend a football game, and spend a couple of days with their son Cole. When they got to the Asheville airport, flights were canceled due to a lack of power, so they decided to make it a road trip. By all accounts, it turned into an epic adventure, getting out of the mountains, and down through South Carolina and Georgia. They did make it to Orlando for the football game Saturday.
They were in South Carolina this morning on their way back to Sylva.
Did not sound like any serious damage to property, or businesses. And, he said to let everyone know that the boat was unharmed.
