Hey Yall:
I hauled my 228 to Florida three weeks ago and the weather plainly stunk for the most of the first week we were there. I got to splash her on the St. Johns and ran her to Silver Glenn Springs from SR 44 and back. Great trip. The winds kicked up to 15 to 20 knots and it turned Lake George into a 2-3 lake chop, but it was nothing but a thing.

I took a life long friend on the small cruise on the ICW in New Smyrna Beach area and ran to the mouth of Ponce Inlet with seas pushing 4 to 6 feet. Turned around and all was good.

Last week I fished 3 days straight out of Port Canaveral. We hooked up on 10 dolphin and lost 3 and hooked up on a wahoo and lost it. I need to go gaffing school because we had 48 inch bull next to the boat and I went to gaff it and missed took two more attempts and I think I broke the line. I have been a master gaffer in the past but just was not in the groove. I have pics but need to upload them.

I made some minor repairs like installing a new basket for the stern shower. I also installed my icom radio and connected the DSC gps connections and it works. I did notice though it has a funky digital squelch sound to it. Though on Saturday we radio fished and all the signals were coming in loud and clear, so the radio repair is sound.

Spring is in the mountains of NC and we may splash the boat this weekend here on one of the lakes.
