I have a 2018 Canyon 27 and the stirring wheel squeaks when I turn it. I see the filling spot at the base of the steering wheel but am not sure what to put in it and if that will fix the problem.

Thank you

The fill port is for hydraulic fluid (SeaStar steering system most likely) that runs your steering rams and probably has nothing to do with the squeak. Get some silicon spray and spray around the rubbing surfaces on the helm mount. If it is a tilt helm there is a u-joint and some bushings that can squeak. Worked for me.

If the wheel has some free play , not when you turn it left to right , when you pull in and out and twist it up and down then more than likely the shaft bush is warn. Some silicone spray can fix it temporally.

I had the same problem on my 330 Express. No binding or roughness in the wheel -- just a super annoying squeak. Solved it by blasting injudicious amounts of WD40 (silicone spray would probably have been a better option) everywhere I could get the tube to point and eventually I must have hit the right spot!
