Lossed an engine and am looking at a replacement 2 options. 1. 150 hp Ocean runner johnson 2000 props & controls included 4500.00 from Fla. I have to pay for shipping and install (might get install for trade in on motor2. 150 hp ocean pro johnson 2000 prop & Controls included & Installed w/ trade in (Local Company)3500. My question is both engines are in great shape but what is the difference between a ocean pro & a ocean runner?

Thanks

As far as I know there is no difference...other than the decals. :) Johnson called them one thing and Evinrude another.

I would look for a 150-200 HPDI take-off. Much less fuel, oil, and smoke. Quieter too. Might run another grand or so but worth it IMHO.

You might even find a used F150 in the 7-8 thousand range if you're so inclinded, then no oil, smoke, and very quiet.

Ed's marine has suzuki 140 four strokes for $7K, HPDI 150's for $8K. In case you'd consider new. Of course rigging and controls are extra.
