Question isnt about your favorite brand, but lens color / tint preference. the barnd I'm contemplating has gray, copper, blue and green mirror - and I've tried the blue and liked them (was a sunny day on and near the water). that said, whats been others experiences for other conditions (haze, clouds, for driving etc). Use would be for boating / fishing, driving and general wear (not specific like for hunitng, or shooting etc). thanks

For bright sunny conditions I like blue mirror-gray tint lenses. On cloudy, overcast days I wear amber lenses (no mirror).

tint

First of all I find the blue mirror hands down the best, but second I would definitely go with the green mirror for use in sunny conditions, third I would say amber.

Blue for sunny days and amber for cloudy or hazy days. Buy some Calcutta's they are about $20 and are polarized. If they fall overboard or you loose them, who cares. Half my crew wears them and they are great at seeing fish offshore in the bright sun, or fish in the shallows when inshore. I usually buy like 5 pair for the year, one pair stays in my car, one on the boat and then I wear a pair, if I forget, break or loose them I have a backup. Those 5 pair are a heck of a lot cheaper then buying an expensive pair from some other brands. I've also found that wire frames on the water corrode, going with plastic frames is better, and they are comfy.
