The advantages of living in Fla are many..
One disadvantage is we may be the lightning capital of the world.
I was gone for a week in May and when I came back, my battery charger was showing a constant red on Bank #1. It was green, (fully charged) when I left. I was told there was a line of storms that went thru and power surges occurred with the dock power. I have no shorepower (Gulfstream 232) and my charger was plugged into a standard electrical outlet on my finger pier.
I got a new charger and it's working fine, but we're just getting into the summer storm season down here, so it could happen again. We have surge suppressors inside to protect our computers and the like; Is there any form of surge protection that can be integrated into the electric on the pier to protect my charger from future surges?
Thanks!
