Switch in head on 330

On the 330 express in the head on the aft wall there is a rocker type switch next to the outlet. I cannot figure out what it does. It sounds like some type of pump when activated. Works on DC side of house.

On my 2007 it is a fan switch. Exhausts out starboard side aft under the gunnel and out the side vent.

same on my 305, exhaust fan.

Thanks. Now the tough question. Any idea how to access it? Mine sounds like a garbage disposal so I guess it needs replacement.

All of the panels in the aft cabin are removable. The starboard side panels allow access to the holding tank, etc. I suspect the exhaust fan is accessible on the forward most panel. I seem to remember you have to remove the starboard panel first.
