Anyone have any pics of aftermarket T-tops on their Seafarer? Anyone install a MakeAWake top on theirs? Would love to see pics and hear some reviews.

Thanks

I think someone just asked that same question yesterday - check that other thread. I'm sure it wasn't you - I can't imagine someone being that impatient... ;)

But that said, why would you put a T-top on a walkaround? A t-top, by definition, is a T shape, which means the legs then would be inboard - inside the cockpit.

I wasnt sure what forum a pic request belonged in, so went with both I tried to move or delete the other post but couldn't figure out how to do it. If you have the authority to delete it in the "tips" sections, please do so! Thanks.

These "make a wake" tops appear to have the same structure and frame as a hardtop, except its a sunbrella material top vs an actual hard top. the whole system weighs about 89 lbs and is about half the price. Wondering if anyone has installed one and likes/dislikes it.

No, I can't delete your thread. But you should be able to - or at least edit it to say something like "duplicate post", or something like that.

OK, I see - I guess I was envisioning something different. But, yeah, that looks basically like a hardtop - just canvas, instead. Looks like that link you posted has a whole bunch of pics there to look at. These things are always subjective - the only thing that matters is what YOU think. If that does it for you, go for it! Personally, I like the weather enclosurability of the hardtop or at least the "lightweight" hardtops. But again, what I think doesn't matter. Check out Atlantic Towers, as well - they have similar products. Don't compare only based on price - look at the quality of the welds, support structure, even the wall thickness of the tubing. For what it's worth, I have a lightweight hardtop from Atlantic and it's about 10-15 years old and still looks good.

Fixed that other post title, thanks Dennis.

I was trying to be more weight conscious than price. Looks well built from the pictures. Hoping someone here has one already and can give me their opinion on the quality and craftsmanship. Ill have to take a look at Atlantic also, they arent too far from me.

I don't know the exact weight of my top, but if I were to estimate the weight difference of the canvas material to the stuff used on my top, I would say it's probably only a couple pounds. The stuff that is used on mine is solid/weatherproof like a fiberglass top, but it is very thin - almost translucent. Like a canvas top, I can't mount anything directly to it - but there multiple support braces underneath that I can mount into easily and not worry about tearing/compromising the canvas. Just a couple thoughts to pass along! :)
