I am replacing all the thru hull fitting last on my 2000 Marlin after having the gel coat redone. Do the old fittings have any value or should I just toss them?

They are going to be plastic unless they are below the waterline. Hard to take out with adhesive caulk on them. Best to drill them out with a hole saw or better yet a stepped bit and throw them away. I replaced mine with the GemLux stainless. They look awesome and I think you saw them (I think you are one of my storage customers).

Below the waterline on GW's are typically bronze and should be bronze.

Brass isn't fetching much at the scrap dealers these days.

They are all chrome plated brass or bronze. Generally pitted. Watch a bitch removing them but will look nice with new stainless fittings
