2004 engine and the lever that controls the tilt gauge is not working. I have had the issue before and WD40 usually gets it moving. this time it moves but does not spring up automatically and when I manually adjust it the gauge does not move so I am guesssing something in the switch must be shot?
Has any one replace this switch - I assume it has some type of wiring attached once you get the switch removed. unfortunately I discovered this after I launched for the season and it looks like an impossible location to get to by leaning over the transom. Any info appreciated - thanks

The wiring runs up into the motor pan and connects via plug.

Access is a pain but it's not a difficult part to replace. It's easier out of the water though, for sure.
