This year, my father-in-law gave me his beloved older Tourney
, and I have spent a good part of the summer getting it updated and in servicing it after she sat idle for two years.
I just took out the auxiliary tank out of my boat while doing a complete check of the gas tanks (totally removing them and inspecting for corrosion, etc.) and overhaul of all gas lines, etc.
I have decided to take out the auxiliary tank since it seems like total overkill (I really am not willing to take a 19' boat out 25 + miles into fully unprotected open water) and would rather have either additional storage space or a fish well instead of a large cooler for fish.
Apparently, the "removable fishwell" is no longer available (a reputable dealer mentioned the mold broke or words to that effect, and that it is no longer available). I am still interested in seeing what it even looked like (to see whether I want to custom make one), particularly because the size of it seems like it must have been pretty small given the opening of that hatch.
Anyone have a picture or description of such a "removable" fishwell for a Tourney?
