Besides the name, what are the differences between the Grady White Tournament 225 and the Grady White Freedom 225? We are considering a purchase of a boat that is no older than 2005 on. Were there any substantial design changes between 2005 and the present models? The blue book had a substantial price change between 2007 and 2008. Does anybody know why? Thanks!

I don't like the offset of the rear seat. What would the reasoning be for that other then making it harder to net fish? I believe that was a 2013 change. :-|

The hull hasn't changed since 2003. Changes have been cosmetic, and include a redesign of the dash, new cushions, and moving of the stereo to the passenger side,

At some point, the windshield changed from a taller, upright squared off windshield to a lower, sleeker, curved windshield. Also, within the last few years, the platform and bracket changed from a fiberglass platform mounted on top of an aluminum bracket to an one piece, welded aluminum integrated platform/bracket structure.

I have a new Freedom 225 and the back seat is offset to the passenger side. It works for the folks riding in the back and makes it easier to get to the battery selector switch. The windshield is curved but still high enough to provide adequate wind protection and sight lines. I love the engine bracket/swim platform across that goes all the way across the back of the boat.
