:?: Looking for a tow harness long enough to go over the engine while still using the two eyelids.

I bought one at WalMart last year and its fits behind my motor (with bracket) from eye to eye. Works great even though a 228 is clearly not a ski machine.

Thank you, do you remember the brand and length? Walmart.com has a 12ft Coleman in stock.

When you say "bracket" are you referring to the ledge the motor is attached to? The reason I'm having so much difficulty finding a stock tow harness is due to the distance from both eye's to the rear of the engine which is an additional few feet due to the "ledge"

Yes, the "ledge" the motor is sitting on is the motor bracket (it connects the motor to the transom of the boat). My harness is exactly 12 feet from connection to connection and just barely clears the motor (which I think is better than having extra room to get hung up on stuff). And it is Airhead. I believe that our boats share hulls and brackets, or ledges, so our dimensions should be the same. Hope that helps.
